
Susan Norton
Susan Norton is a lifelong resident of Richmond, a graduate of Douglas Freeman High School and Mary Baldwin College. She and her husband, David, both attended the Junior Assembly Cotillion from sixth through ninth grades, when it was directed by Miss Cleiland Donnan. She taught first grade both in Charlottesville and in Richmond. She and her husband have three daughters and five grandchildren. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Richmond. She has enjoyed directing the Junior Assembly since 1984, first with Jackie Davidson and now with her daughters, Katherine and Liz.
Katherine Byer
Katherine Byer and her husband Andy have three elementary aged daughters, Ashley, Lindsey, and Megan. Born and raised in Richmond, she graduated from Douglas Freeman High school and attended the Junior Assembly Cotillion from 6th through 9th grade and continued on as a junior assistant all through high school. She earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia and went on to work in Human Resources for Conde Nast Publications in New York City. She then moved to Atlanta, GA with her husband where she worked for Arthur Andersen as an Operations Manager. She has enjoyed getting involved again with the Junior Assembly and is thrilled to be directing with her mother and sister.
Liz Williams
Liz Williams has an elementary school-aged daughter and a middle school-aged son, who is loving his cotillion experience! Liz was born and raised in Richmond and graduated from Douglas Freeman High School. She, like Katherine, attended the Junior Assembly Cotillion from 6th through 9th grade and worked as a junior assistant from 10th through 12th grade. After Liz received her BS in Nursing from the University of Virginia, she worked in Special Event Planning and Recruiting for Goldman Sachs in Atlanta, GA. After moving back to Richmond, she worked in Special Event Planning and Marketing for SunTrust Bank and then as a Business Manager for Courtney Ludeman Interiors. She now works in Investment Administration and Event Planning for RiverFront Investment Group. She has been involved with cotillion for many years and is thrilled to be directing with her mother and sister. Liz looks forward to sharing the cotillion experience with her son and daughter in the years to come.
